Culvert Cleaning and Clearance

02-10-2013

RN-1 Remote Nozzle / specialist safe non-destructive, no dig excavating machinery.

With the autumn months knocking on our door, we now have more projects where culvert cleaning and clearing of debris such as fallen leaves and with the increase in rainy days upon us, this will put more strain on the water drainage systems.

Having a mini tracked unit available for hire, attached to one of our suction excavators, we can provide our RN-1 remote controlled unit capable of excavating at a distance in excess of 100m from the suction excavator (*subject to appropriate conditions).

Controlled from a hand held remote unit with a HD monitor, flexible manouvers allow culvert cleaning in what could be seen as a difficult to reach area however due to it's size and having high powered lights on board allowing the operative to see further into the culvert, this innovation in safe dig technology allows our suction excavator to have a clear view of the project in hand without the need to be at the point of the excavation, eliminating the need of confined space certificates.

By using our RN-1 unit to clean culverts or similar excavations, large quantities of material can be removed where hand dig and mechanical excavation methods would be impractical.

Other applications apart from culverts including tunnel clearance, basements & sub basement clearance, storage & filter tank clearance, sub-station works, underground reservoir works, drain clearance, working below overhead cable / obstructions, working in areas where fumes are prohibited , gas & oil refineries, bridge excavations (low bearing), shipping - ballast and storage tank clearance and gully excavation clearance.

The specifications of the RN-1:

Rubber tracked

3x Operating configurations

HD video camera link *if required
